This project is available when school is in session: from mid-May to September and November to February

Online training can begin any time.

Project Length

4-42* weeks (*with a break over the October school holiday)

Prices

THB 26,000 (Thai Baht) = up to 4 weeks
THB 2,500 = each extra week

Deposit

The deposit for this volunteer opportunity is THB 9,500. The remaining balance must be paid 8 weeks before your arrival.

Option 3: Online TESOL Course

With this accredited course for those with less time to travel, you can study the fundamentals of Teaching English as a Foreign Language in the comfort of your own home. Working through 24 modules with the help of an online tutor, you can attain an internationally recognized TESOL certificate which can be used for volunteering and for helping you to land English teaching jobs in Thailand, the rest of Asia, and all over the world.

Your online tutor will help you through topics like:

language awareness, lesson planning, composing a lesson, observation of a English teacher (through DVD), teaching vocabulary, reading, and writing, games and activities, and up-to-date teaching methods. There’s 100 hours of material, which most students finish in 2 weeks to 6 months.

Once you’ve finished the course, you’ll be ready to join us as a volunteer English teacher. You’ll come to Khorat for language and culture training and then move on to your teaching job at a school in need of your help. We’ll have a host ready for you as well as classrooms full of students bursting with excitement to study with you!
