Option 2: TEFL on the Beach in Thailand
This internationally recognized teacher training course provides 120 hours of tuition and observation in Teaching English as a Second or Other Language with a focus on teaching in Thailand, and a further 8 hours of practice teaching. The course is a perfect match for long-term volunteers or those who are looking for certification to teach all over the world. The best part is that this course is offered on world-renowned Phuket Island in the stunning Andaman Sea!
This course includes instruction in a broad range of topics, including:
- identification of potential student problems
- the English language sound system
- current teaching methodologies
- student needs analysis
- lesson planning and creating materials
- the nature of language
- classroom management techniques
Most importantly, you will be guided through the process of planning, preparing, and implementing a lesson, and you'll be given guidance and constructive feedback for your teaching practice sessions.
Once you have obtained your teaching certificate, you'll travel to Khorat for a day of language and culture training, then off to your placement to meet your homestay hosts and start your volunteer service!

Total Fees
Fees are set in THB (Thai Baht)
THB 60,000 for 2-4 weeks
THB 1,250 for each extra week
Deposit
The deposit for this volunteer opportunity is THB 5,000. The remaining balance must be paid 8 weeks before your arrival.
