This project is available when school is in session: from mid-May to September
and November to February

(*with a break over the October school holiday)
Prices
THB 20,000 (Thai Baht) = up to 4 weeks
THB 2,500 = each extra week
Deposit
The deposit for this volunteer opportunity is THB 6,500. The remaining balance must be paid 8 weeks before your arrival.

Option 1: 3-Day Intensive Training
This training program is intended for volunteers with little or no ESL teaching experience.
This intensive course provides basic training so you can teach children English in Thailand. You’ll learn effective techniques for planning and delivering successful lessons, then put theory into practice with a practice teaching session at a local school before heading out to your voluntary work placement.
Topics covered on the course include:
- understanding Thai students
- how to teach English using English
- English grammar from a foreign language perspective
- error analysis and correction strategies
- classroom management
- teaching techniques
- building effective lesson plans
- and more!
The teaching course, as well as 1-day language and culture training, is based in Khorat Thailand at the Dragonfly home office. During the training, you’ll meet other volunteers and also venture out on forays to various sites in and around the city. Once training is complete, you’ll move on to meet your host and the teachers and students at your new workplace!
