Help build the future for people in need! Dragonfly is currently searching for dynamic and hard-working individuals to help with building at community projects in Northern and Western Thailand. We've found people and organizations in need of the strong hands and backs of people who aren't afraid to get dirty.
Although some projects will involve the use of more standard building materials and techniques (wood, concrete + steel, etc.), we focus as much as possible on low-impact techniques and sustainable materials, such as mud-brick and bamboo. Building work is labour-intensive, and volunteers should be in good physical shape and be prepared to work full days in a hot tropical climate. However, at most building sites there will alternative activities you can join in on as a break from the heavy work – these may include teaching English, running sports and other activities with kids, cultural activities, and more!

Building volunteers work 5-6 days per week with breaks in the heat of the afternoon and should expect to help with many tasks based following a fluid schedule that will also have to take into account location and availability of materials, other workers, and local site resources. You're welcome to come on your own or with friends – many hands really do make light work!
